Buddhist Marriage and Anniversary Blessing in Phnom Penh

brad August 24, 2015 Anniversary, Cambodia, Love, Phnom Penh

Brandy surprised all of us this morning in Cambodia when we boarded a river boat to go an hour up the Mekong river to a Buddhist monastery on Silk Island, on the outskirts of Phnom Penh.

It was one of the hottest days we’ve ever experienced, which just added to the dream-like experience of having our love and marriage ceremonially blessed at a monastery on our 13th anniversary.

A beautiful day that none of us will soon forget, after 13 years of little daily miracles living with someone you love even more each and every day.  Here’s a video of the ceremony and some photos from the day.

How amazing. And I love how Brad colored his beard lighter for the ceremony:). Did you ever imagine you would be sharing your 13th anniversary in such an exotic location with your wonderful children? You are all truly blessed.
